Dorset’s Jurassic Coast Photography Workshop Image

One of my favourite locations in the UK for photography, and one of the most varied; the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset presents us with some fabulous possibilities for landscape photography with some truly iconic locations.
The great rock arch of Durdle Door is one of Dorset's most famous landmarks and along with neighboring Man O' War Bay provides for sweeping views of the coastline. The white chalk cliffs at Old Harry Rocks catch the sun beautifully and the fascinating fossil and rock formations at Kimmeridge Bay offer great potential when its incredible rock ledges are exposed at low tide.
The beachfront and wonderful old Victorian pier at Swanage provide for the chance to work on long exposures and capturing movement and we'll have a selection of LEE filters on hand for you to try including Big Stoppers and Little Stoppers, so don't worry if you don't have any. Nearby, the impressive ruins of nearby Corfe Castle are unmissable and often subject to misty mornings at this time of year. We might even be lucky enough see a passing steam train to add further romance to the scene!
The opportunities are endless on this stretch of stunning coastline but we will also take you inland, to explore a little of Dorset’s delightful countryside and share with you the odd lesser known gem.
We research all the locations thoroughly, so as well as receiving expert tuition, you can be sure that you will be in the right locations at the best time of day to make the most of them.
