Biography
![]() From an early age, Sarah Howard has been influenced by all things visual. Photography seemed the natural choice after her father, an accomplished amateur photographer encouraged her to see things in greater depth through the lens of the camera. Sarah found that it was her camera that allowed her to interpret the wider world around her, and over the past few years she has traveled and explored widely. She has held a number of successful solo exhibitions both here in the UK and overseas. 2009 saw the publication of her first book; 'A year in the life of Westonbirt' - based around the world famous arboretum in Gloucestershire. With her unobtrusive approach she has become well known for her striking and poetic landscape images which are now held in both private and corporate collections worldwide. In her unique way, Sarah captures the very essence of her subject in a manner that many photographers fail to do. Through her images, she conveys to the viewer a immediate sense of both being there by her side and entering into the heart of that fleeting moment when her subjects and their diverse personalities light up for her camera. Sarah is incredibly enthusiastic about photography and enjoys sharing it with others. Mid 2009 she set up 'Image Seen' with artist and image editing expert Claire Reika Wright, offering small group and one to one photographic and Photoshop workshops in and around the Cotswolds. Sarah has developed a distinctive style, which is rapidly becoming recognisable both in the United Kingdom and further afield. |
